The horse race is a betting game: you choose which team you think will win the Speith. The committee has collected $50 per player (included in the entry fee). If you choose the correct team, you split the pot with anyone else who chose correctly. The $50 buy-in entitles each person to two team choices ($20 each) for the winner of the Spieth, and one choice ($10) for the loser of the Spieth.
Mr. Andrew Weber will be in charge of picks after the opening ceremony.
